You’ve just done a mass mailing of reissued cards.
While in the postal mail stream, a tray of mail containing your credit card packages was stolen.
Are you prepared to protect your cardholders from non-receipt fraud?
Fighting Back with First Data’s Fraud and Risk Solutions
- Financial institutions can lessen the risk of such activity by co-mingling their plastics mail with cardholder letters, statements or other direct mail.
- Clients can also choose to utilize First Data’s card activation services that utilize multi-factor authentication such as ANI, ZIP Code, CVV, the last four digits of a Social Security Number or other cardholder verification elements.
- Clients can also choose to send out proactive automated messages to cardholders via 2Way-ConnectSM to let them know that they should have received their new card, and enable them to activate while on the phone, or to notify the financial institution that the card was not received.
- Other instances of NRI fraud occur when a card is mailed to the wrong address. Financial institutions can minimize this occurrence by utilizing FastData® to update and validate customer addresses prior to mailing the cards.
- Clients can also choose to utilize First Data’s RAPID™ service to manage returned or undeliverable plastic mailers in our secured environment—reducing the need for in-house audit controls for returned plastic mailers.
